Connak foundation connects with the young and old through our free medical
outreach in the rural communities of Abia state. We have, in partnership with
medical professionals and volunteers from the health sector, provided free medical
and surgical services in the rural communities of Abia state during our annual
medical outreach.
The free medical and surgical outreach started in 2016 and by the end of 2018 we had provided access to quality healthcare at no cost to a total of 2,873 patients out of which 2,816 patients with varying diagnosis were treated and provided with free medications, while 31 patients had undergone successful cataracts surgeries and 26 other patients had pterygium excision.
In 2019, Connak Foundation in collaboration with FaithCare Inc. from the United States organized a 7-day medical outreach, which registered a total of 4,669 patients consulted with surgeries carried out across OB-GYN, Pediatrics and General surgery specialties.The foundation was able to pay-off the accrued medical bills of 36 patients at the Federal Medical Centre Umuahia, who hitherto were held back for non-payment of bills, in the amount of N6,776,550 and further provided the patients with funds to support them with their relocation back home.
